Why We Built This Site
Public access begins with the office that created or keeps the record. The Jones County District Clerk maintains the 259th District Court files, while the Jones County Clerk handles county-court, probate, guardianship, juvenile, and related county record categories. The Justice of the Peace and each municipal clerk retain their own lower-court dockets. re:SearchTX may display integrated cases, filings, or hearings after sign-in, but its coverage does not replace the clerk of record. The site brings these routes together and keeps docket access distinct from requests for pleadings, judgments, or certified copies.
What You Will Find Here
- Case-type routes: how Jones County criminal court dockets and civil court dockets are located and read
- Settings: how to check the court schedule and verify a hearing with the responsible court
- Electronic research: how a docket search by known case details works through official channels
- Copies: where to request court case records, plain copies, and certified documents
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, with no affiliation to a Texas court, clerk, or government agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot promise that a posted telephone number, charge, or hearing setting remains current
An official or certified docket or court record must come from the clerk or court that maintains the original. This resource can identify that office, but it cannot issue the document.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are supplied by outside providers. Those providers control their services, result sets, and prices. A paid signup reached through a tool may generate a referral fee that supports this resource. Jones County Court Docket does not control a partner's charges or results, and a partner result is not an official Jones County court record.
